Abby and Devon Winters are fictional characters and a married couple on the CBS Daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Abby Newman is the daughter of Victor Newman and Ashley Abbott. Devon Hamilton is the biological son of Tucker McCall and Yolanda Hamilton as well as and the adopted son Neil Winters and Drucilla Winters. Abby is portrayed by Melissa Ordway and Devon is portrayed by Bryton James
"Dabby" is the nickname given to the relationship between Abby Newman and Devon Winters.
Storyline[]
Devon and Abby started out as best friends. They were two peas in a pod and helped each other with business ventures. Devon became a co-owner of Abby's restaurant Society when it was first being created. They talked one on one with each other about each others lives and struggles going on. When Abby and husband at the time Chance couldn't get pregnant, Devon offered to be Abby's sperm donor. Abby was extremely taken aback and discussed Devon's proposal with Chance's mom, Nina.
Abby realized having someone that she already knew, loved and trusted would make Devon the perfect donor. They also discussed what it would be like to have a bi-racial child. Since Abby's previous miscarriage left her scarred, Mariah had already agreed to be the surrogate - she would carry Abby and Devon's embryo. The pair agreed to be co parents and share custody of Dominic between them and Abby's husband at the time Chance Chancellor.
When Chance and Abby began having marital problems due to Chance returning from Spain with a totally different personality (portrayed by the miscast actor, Conner Floyd), Abby turned to Devon for support and comfort. Eventually, the best friends finally took their relationship from platonic to romantic as they had sex for the first time. Chance and Amanda walked in on the lovers together, and realized their "profound connection" could not be contained anymore. As of today the pair are a happy couple living happily together in the Chancellor mansion raising their son, Dominic, together.
