Amanda "Amy" Lewis is a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, currently portrayed by Valarie Pettiford.[1] Stephanie E. Williams originated the role from January 4, 1983 to March 4, 1988 with a brief reappearance from February 19, 1990 to March 1, 1990. Pettiford assumed the role beginning October 29, 2024.
Biography[]
Amy Lewis is the daughter of Frank Lewis. She is the adoptive mother of Laura Williams. In 1983, Amy dated Tyrone Jackson. Amy worked with Paul Williams and Andy Richards at their private investigation firm. After Amy realized that Nathan Hastings was illiterate, she secretly taught him to read and write. The two soon started dating. Danny Romalotti was often joined by sister Gina Roma and friends Traci Abbott, Lauren Fenmore and Amy who sang with him when he performed on stage. In 1988, Paul hired Lynne Bassett as his secretary after Amy left town to take care of her father.
Any returned in 2024 to reveal to Nate's son Nate Hastings that she had a son named Damian Kane with Nate, but he was raised by another named Jackson. Amy lost touch with Damian after Jackson died and wanted to reconnect with her son since she has a terminal illness. She wanted Nate to find Damian, so he would have someone to care about him after she passed. During this time, Any become close with Nate's girlfriend Audra Charles.
