Angela Laurence was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Elizabeth Keifer.
Biography[]
Angela Laurence was the daughter of Claire and Robert Laurence.
In 1982, Angela came to Genoa City after Lance Prentiss suggested her coming to Robert. Angela and Robert moved into the Prentiss Estate since Lance decided to leave town. Angela enjoyed her new life in Genoa City because it allowed her more time to be with Robert since she was told her mother, Claire, was dead. Angela also made friends with Traci Abbott.
In August, Robert decided to take Angela to see his new love, Leslie Brooks, perform at a concert. Angela was very impressed by Leslie and began to bond with her. Soon after this Robert decides to tell Angela that Claire is actually alive. Robert tells Angela that Claire has been in a mental facility for 16 years and had began to make a recovery form her mental illness. Robert takes Angela to meet Claire and the two immediately bond. Angela becomes to drawn to Claire that she refuses to leave the facility until Claire is released. When Claire finally comes home, Angela begins to gravitate towards her and withdrawal from Robert and Leslie.
Then in November, Robert decides to come clean and tell Angela that he had divorced Claire since he believed she would never recover. Angela doesn’t takes this well and continues to be upset when she learns that Leslie and Robert are still seeing each other. Angela decided that she didn’t want to stay at home anymore and tan off to The Golden Touch bar. While she was at the bar her drink was spiked and a man tried to rape her but Andy Richards heard her cry for help and saved her. Angela the began to tell Andy that she didn’t want to return home but she convinced her that even though her parents are divorced, they still love her. After this Andy take Angela home and she reunites with Robert.
By December, Claire learned of the divorce and tried to return to the mental facility. With the help of Leslie, Robert and Angela were able to convince Claire to stay with them. After this Angela left town with Robert and Claire to begin a new life together as a family.
