The Ashby and Atkinson families are fictional families from the CBS Daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. The Atkinson family originated in Australia and is known for their dealings in organized crime. In order to distance himself from the family and their life of crime, Cane Atkinson, changed his last name to Ashby and left Australia to make a new life for himself. In recent times, Cane's father, Colin Atkinson, claims to have turned his life around and left his life of crime.
