Bethany Bryant is a fictional characters the soap opera The Young and the Restless. She has been played by Chrishell Stause since May 25, 2016.
History[]
Bethany was hired by Billy Abbott to work at the Boulevard, two weeks Geordie he sold. During that time, Bethany had developed a huge crush on Billy. In May 2016, Bethany saw Billy while he was drinking at a bar. Billy recognized Bethany's face, but couldn't remember her name. Bethany admitted she had a crush on Billy, and Billy took her home where they slept together.
Their bliss was interrupted when Jill Atkinson stormed in, and Bethany left to get dressed and give Billy and Jill some privacy. After Jill left, Bethany tried to entice Billy into gambling, but Billy turned her down. Bethany was hurt by Billy's rejection and stormed out.
After Billy was in a accident, Phyllis went to see Bethany and paid her off to pretend she was on the bike with Billy. Bethany quickly realized Phyllis was the woman Billy was hung up on. Bethany agreed to pretend to be Billy's current girlfriend, and showed up on his arm when Billy introduced her to Jack.
Bethany and Billy encountered Jack and Phyllis at the pool where Bethany subtly taunted Phyllis about her interest in Billy. Billy was annoyed at Bethany, but Bethany said that she was subtle enough. She told Billy that he needs to work on his poker face or Jack will quickly catch on. Phyllis shows up, and payed Bethany to leave them alone. After Phyllis leaves, she runs into Bethany and tells her she is going to tell Jack the truth.
Bethany goes to see Billy, and offers to date him once the truth come out, and Phyllis and Jack work on there marriage. Billy says fine, as long as she realizes that he is always going to be wishing she was with Phyllis. Bethany tells Billy he is going to get over Phyllis, but Billy says he won't because he loves her.
About a month later, Bethany receives a key in an envelope. She uses the key to unlock a key that contains a bag full of money, and a note that is telling her to leave town. Curious, Bethany goes to see Billy and wonders if she is being payed off. Bethany suspects Billy, Jill, or Phyllis of being the one giving her the money. She finally realizes Victor Newman is behind this, and goes to see him to ask why.
