Billy Abbott and Sally Spectra are fictional characters and a couple from the CBS daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Billy Abbott is portrayed by Jason Thompson and Sally Spectra is portrayed by Courtney Hope. Billy is the son of the late John Abbott and Jill Foster Abbott and Sally is the daughter of unknown parents.

History[]
Billy and Sally first started interacting with each other as their respective partners Adam and Chelsea share a child together. The pair share a few moments together as they bond over Chelsea and Adam being away with Connor.
The pair continue to have conversations after their partners get back from their trip to Baltimore and start acting weird around them. The two confront their respective partners about what happened while they were away and were both told that nothing happened.
The two walk in the park and overhear Chelsea and Adam state that Connor can't find out what happened in Baltimore. As well as Sally and Billy can't know either. Billy and Sally confront Adam and Chelsea about what they were talking about but they were told that they had a bad fight.
Fully guilt ridden Chelsea tells Billy the truth a few months later while Adam continues to lie to Sally about his night in Baltimore with Chelsea. A drunken Billy goes to Adams to confront him about sleeping with Chelsea and a clueless Sally is just standing there upset that Adam is continuously lying to her.
The pair continue to talk and hang out after the tragic endings of both of there relationships. As time goes on they are voice of reasons for each other.
The pair go for drinks at the Athletic Club, but the drinks turn into shots and the pair learn new things about each other. By the end of there shot filled night, both are tipsy and Billy helps Sally back to her suite upstairs. Sally calls him a funny guy and she is glad that he put a smile on her face. Billy states that it is a beautiful smile. The pair then end their goodbyes with a long kiss at the door of Sally’s suite.
The pair run into each other and talk at Crimson Lights about their kiss. Sally apologizes for kissing him and not freaking out that she kissed him. But Billy tells her that they kissed each other and it was nice. Sally jokingly told Billy that it could have gone further but she doesn’t want to continue making bad decisions. The pair agree that the kiss was a mistake and they should remain friends.
Sally and Billy continue their friendship but the more time they spend together, the more they like each other. As time goes on the pair become close and decide to take their relationship to the next level. They disguise it as doing research and testing theories. The pair sleep together for the first time in Sallys suite at the GCAC.
Sally tells Billy that she finally feels free and is putting her relationship with Adam behind her. Te pair finally leave the suite after their rendezvous and say that they should share some pasta and dessert together and run into Adam.
The couple start very wary of their relationship and wanting to take it slow when it comes to telling people. The pair are united together against all of the doubters in their relationship.
Billy introduces Sally officially to the kids and tells them that they are a couple.
Sally offers to decorate Billy's new place, so it is a place for Johnny and Katie to feel comfortable in. Billy thanks her with a kiss and the couple make love in his new home. After their afternoon together the pair have lunch in the living room and talk about work.
Sally and Billy spend Valentine's Day together in at the house for quality alone time. Sally tells Billy that she has to go to Paris for work and wonders of he wants to come with her. In which he happily agreed upon going with her to Paris.
The couple flew to Paris and stayed in Ashley's apartment while she is in London. Billy and Sally enjoyed a day in with the weather not cooperating for them.
The pair are more inseparable than ever and it only gets better when Billy asks Sally to come with him at Abbott Communications and be his COO. She tells him that she needs to think about it and talk to Summer if she decides to leave. Sally eventually agrees to work with Billy and run Abbott Communications, he kisses her in a delight.
In June 2025, Sally and Billy along with other powerful players in Genoa City, go to Nice to meet with Aristotle Dumas. Everyone in France find out that Dumas is actually, Cane Ashby and that he has been lying to every one
The pair escape the drama surrounding Dumas/Cane and spend quality time together in their train car. Billy makes Sally dinner and the pair talk about next steps for there company. Billy agrees to Sally's proportion that if he ends up riding Chancellor that Abbott Comm will be hers to run however she sees fit.
Sally tries to be a voice of reason for Billy while he is fighting with Jack about his plans for the future of Abbott Comm. The couple learn about Damian's death and are questioned about there whereabouts in the time when Damian was killed.
Billy asks Sally for help when Nick is injured and needs help with his wounds. The pair along with Sharon are able to keep Nick stable and him stop the bleeding of this wound. The pair find out that Chance has been shot and died at the hands of Cane's assistant Carter who also killed Damian. They return to Genoa City to deal with the aftermath of the events in Nice and try to put pieces back together.
Billy and Sally start planning for the launch of Abbott Comm and are blindsided by the hit pieces that Newman Media has been putting out about Billy and airing the truth about Dumas.
The couple go for a night run and talk about the launch of Abbott Comm and Sally asks Billy if he is ready for the uphill battle against both Cane and the Newmans. Sally tells Billy that she doesn't want to let him or Jack down since it is their family name on the line. Billy reassures her that she is going to be amazing and will be the best leader for the company possible.
The pair go to the Athletic Club and run into Chelsea and Adam. The couple get into a fight with their ex's about the hit pieces that they have been publishing. Billy and Sally share that Sally is going to run Abbott Comm and Billy has a new venture that is in the works that he will share with everyone very soon.
While Billy is on the phone with his PI, Sally ask Billy to clear his schedule and look at her model possible outfits for the Abbott Comm launch party. After trying on several outfits for Billy, the couple strip down and have sex on the couch of Billy's house. After there events Sally suggests over drinks that having a PI follow Cane is not the best idea. Sally confides to Billy that she is scared of letting him down since the past companies she has created have all fell apart and didn't work out.
Sally goes to Billy's house at the same time of Cane leaving, and Billy tells her that Cane changed his mind about going after the companies. Billy shares that according to Cane his only focus is getting Lily back and fixing his relationship with his kids. Billy tells Sally that he wonders if Cane is setting him up so the Newmans will be distracted and he can get Chancellor back. Sally says that whatever Cane is up to they need to figure it out so Abbott Communications can break the story first.
Billy asks Sally to move in with him and the kids. Sally asks how the kids feel about it because she doesn't want to if they don't feel comfortable about it. Billy tells her that he wanted to ask her first and see where she is at with it. He says that the kids like her and if she is not ready then that is ok. Sally admits to Billy that she is scared that what if they don't work out, wha would that mean for them since they would be working together and also living together. After talking about it further, Sally agrees that as long as it is ok with the kids that she would love to move in with him in the next upcoming weekend.
