Carter (last name unknown) was played by Vincent Stalba from May 14, 2025 to July 2025.
History[]
Carter has been the assistant of Aristotle Dumas since 2023. Carter had nothing and was destitute and on the streets. Cane took a chance on him and gave him a job, a purpose earning Carter's gratitude and devotion.
Storylines[]
Carter made his debut when Phyllis Summers contacted Aristotle. She wanted to talk to Aristotle directly, but Carter simply said he would pass on her message to his boss before hanging up on her. Carter was there to greet Aristotle's guests when they arrived at his chateau.
Carter greeted the first group composed of Victor and Nikki Newman; their son Nick, and his friend Sharon. He led them to the maze where they would find food, drinks, and a list of the days itineraries at the end. Victor wondered where Billy Abbott and Sally Spectra were. Carter said they got ahead start and encouraged them to go.
Carter then went to greet the next group: Jack and Diane Abbott, their son Kyle, and Audra Charles. Kyle went to introduce himself, but Carter cooly said that he knew who Kyle was, and relayed the same instructions to the Abbott. The last group was the Damian and the Winters Family. Damian attempted to introduce himself to Carter, but Carter already knew who he was.
At the end of the maze, Carter arrived and told them that Aristotle's flight was held up and he won't be in tomorrow, but that was a lie Aristotle had instructed them to say since he was watching everyone from his study.
Aristotle eventually told Carter to tell his guests that he has landed, and to also go get Amanda as it was time to reveal himself. Carter continued to assist in making Cane's guests as uncomfortable as possible. Later he met with Amanda in secret to discuss Cane's trip to Genoa City and that he would be returning soon.
When Damian was murdered, Carter was on hand to oversee the removal and storage of his body. Carter later came with a guard to detain Nick Newman since Cane apparently thought of him as a threat. When Sharon Newman revealed herself, Carter told her she'd have to go with them. Carter took Nick and Sharon to a storage room, and locked them in there.
Carter than interrupted Nikki and Victor confronting Cane and whispered something in his ear. Cane said something has come up and left with Carter following him. Later, while Carter was straightening up the train car, he was confronted by Victor and Chance Chancellor, who questioned if he killed Damian on Cane's orders noting his loyalty to Cane.
Carter confessed his loyalty to Cane revealing how he saved him from being destitute and gave him a purpose. However, he denied killing Damian, saying that just because he would do anything for Cane doesn't mean he did what they were accusing him of. Carter continued to refer to Cane as Mr. Dumas, which irritated Victor since Carter had to know his true name.
When interrogating Carter went nowhere, Chance dismissed him, but as Carter left he told Victor he is sorry about Nick but he did not plan the knife under the sink, which really for Victor and Chance suspicious since neither of them said where the knife was found. Carter tried to deflect by saying one of them must have mentioned it, but Victor and Chance confirmed they didn't and pressed Carter on how he knew.
Cane joined them wanting to know the same thing, and asked to speak with Carter in private. Victor and Chance refused, and Cane eventually dismissed Carter so he could talk to Victor and Chance in private, Carter waited for Cane at the dining area and was joined by Amanda who wondered where Cane was.
Carter said that he was talking with Victor and Chance. Amanda wondered about what, and Carter said they accused Cane of ordering him to kill Damian, but Carter knows Cane would never do that. He was also antsy over still referring to Cane as Dumas since it irritated Victor but that's all he knows Cane as.
Amanda calmed him down by saying she doesn't think Cane cares what he calls him. Soon Lily arrived and was removed Cane wasn't there. Carter approached Lily and said she should give her ex another chance since he really loves her.
Cane soon arrives and Lily leaves. Cane asks to speak to Carter alone. Once alone, Cane asks Carter if he killed Damian and promises to protect him but they have to act fast. Carter breaks down crying, and Cane snaps at him to tell him the truth. Carter admits it was supposed to be prefect and that he and his ex wife would share a beautiful reunion.
Carter offers to disappear, but Cane advises him to confess his crimes and says he would get Amanda to disappear. Carter refused and says Cane said he would protect him. Chance emerges from the maze and Cane tells Carter it's too late to protect him.
Carter says this is what Cane trained him to, but Cane tells Carter he never wanted this. Spiralling, Carter admits how he pulled it off by drugging Cane's private stash so he would be out of commission while he killed Damian by throwing one of Cane's antique's knives into his back. Carter admitted he didn't anticipate Cane sharing his private stash with Damian, but it made Damian more vulnerable.
Lily soon arrived and Carter pulled out a gun and held Lily hostage. Cane warned Carter he is only making things worse for himself, but Carter asks how he could make things worse for himself as it was all for him. He declared he would find his own way out. Carter then revealed that Cane has been lying to everyone and that the tracks were repaired two days ago.
Carter then retreated into the maze with Lily. As he went through the maze, he ran into Billy, and then Cane and Chance caught up. Cane begged Carter to take him instead, saying that he is the one who betrayed him. Carter let Lily go and then held a gun on Cane. Cane asked Carter how he wanted to play this. Carter said Cane freed him, and now he'll free him as he held the gun to Cane's head.
Before Carter could pull the trigger, Chance ran up and tried to wrestle the gun away from Carter. A shot rang out, and Chance went down, falling back into Cane's arms as Carter ran off and then shot himself in the main dining area of the maze. His body was found when the shot was heard and Cane covered Carter's body with a table cloth after confirming his death.
