Chateau Dumas is located in Nice, France. The chateau is proceeded by a large hedge maze. It formerly belonged to the Deleone family and was used as refinery. It is presumed the hedge maze is where the orchard originally was. The last known heir of the Deleone family, Genevieve, was conned by Colin Atkinson under the alias of Lord Jeremy Edgerton into giving her the estate and the Deleone fortune.
Colin later handed the money and property to Cane, swearing it was legit. He and Cane worked together to build an empire named Arabesque Ventures. Cane tore down the vineyard and built a hedge maze. Colin spent his final months at the vineyard with Cane and his ex-wife Jill Foster Abbott. Once Colin passed, Cane was left alone as the sole owner of the vineyard.
In June 2025, Cane sent out invitations to a large gathering of Genoa City, including his ex wife Lily Winters, her brother Devon Hamilton, and his ex employee Damian Kane. Upon arrival, The guests traversed to the end of the maze all the while Cane watched them from his office. He had camera's on the train and in the maze that he used to watch them.
The hedge maze had varied areas, including one that contained a pool. Cane kept his guests in the maze and had them sleep on his private train cars that were parked right outside the maze.
The chateau itself sits on a top of a large mountain that makes it hard for people to access it. Adam Newman managed to hike up the mountain to alert his family on the moves Cane was making after a storm knocked out the tracks.
While the vacation was relaxing for the guests aside from their suspicion of Cane, it turned into a nightmare when Damian Kane was killed by an unknown assailant with one of Cane's antique daggers that were stored on the train cars.
