Mariah and Tessa[]
Mariah and Tessa met in Spring 2017 at the Underground. Tessa began dating Mariah's brother, Noah Newman, and Mariah was already in a relationship with Devon Hamilton. However, Mariah and Tessa had a stronger connection with each other than either of their boyfriends. When the four of them went on a trip to San Francisco, Mariah kissed Tessa. Mariah apologized and Tessa said they had just gotten caught up in the excitement of the trip. But for Mariah, it was more than that. After confiding in Kevin and Sharon, Mariah got enough courage to confess her feelings to Tessa. Tessa wanted to remain with Noah, which broke Mariah's heart. Eventually, Noah read Mariah's diary and found out about the kiss. He got upset and broke up with Tessa. Thanks to some matchmaking from Kyle Abbott, Mariah and Tessa finally started dating. A lot of problems came up, like Tessa's blackmailing, and Mariah's cheating with Lindsay, but they managed to overcome everything. Now, they are adoptive parents of Aria Porter-Copeland.

Nikki and Victor[]
Nikki and Victor have had their ups and downs over the years, but they now appear to be on solid ground. Occasionally, they will have a disagreement here and there about Adam, but the love between them is still going strong. Interestingly, at the beginning of their reconciliation, Nikki and Victor had an open marriage. In early 2018, Nikki began hooking up with Arturo Rosales, and Victor took a liking to Helen Wallace. When JT pushed Victor down the stairs and almost killed him, Nikki realized how important Victor was to her. After things ended with Arturo and Helen, Nikki and Victor admitted that they didn't like the open marriage arrangement after all. They decided to commit to each other 100 percent. Nikki also had a scary accident of her own when she was hit by a car. Victor took extreme measures to get her the medical help she needed, while also protecting her from going to jail. Victor even falsely confessed to killing JT, taking the fall for Nikki.

Summer and Chance[]
Summer and Chance first became acquainted when Chance got married to her aunt Abby Newman Abbott and Summer was in a relationship with Kyle Abbott. In the early part of 2023 Chance has to be the one to tell Summer that her mother Phyllis unfortunately died in an ambulance crash while running from Jeremy Stark. Summer starts bawling her eyes out in the arms of her then husband Kyle Abbott. Over the course of the next few months Chance tries to be there for Summer with the death of her mom. Unbeknownst to everyone that Phyllis actually faked her death to get away from Jeremy Stark. Summer began to know that her mother was alive and hid it fro all of her family and friends including her husband whose mom was in jail for possibly being the one to kill Phyllis. After everyone found out that Summer knew they began to see her in a new light. The aftermath of the situation being that Summer could face criminal charges for helping her mom stay dead and for knowing that Phyllis was alive all this time. Lucky for Summer that her mom took all of the blame so that she didn't have to face any jail time. But the damage to Summers marriage was already done. Kyle asked for a separation and later a divorce from Summer. After discovering that Chance had been shot in the line of duty, Summer doesn't know how to feel as she is starting to develop feelings for him even though he is dating Sharon. While sitting vigil at his bedside Summer reveals that she has feelings for him and she doesn't know what she will do if he doesn't wake up. Chance then wakes up and the first person that he sees is Summer.After her marriage to Kyle was over, Summer begins a to have feelings for Chance Chancellor even though he is in a relationship with Sharon. Summer states that she doesn't want to be the other women and is backed off from her crush on Chance. When Chance and Sharon break up, Summer and Chance start to hang out together. They both realize they have feeling s for each other and go on a few dates. Summer and Chance are now officially dating and they talk about their respective kids together and the process of coparenting with their exes and what works best for them. They talk about their jobs with each other and try to be as honest as possible with each other in terms of everything going on in their lives.

Abby and Chance[]
Chance returned to Genoa City in November 2019 to stop a criminal named Simon Black. When Simon pulled a gun out at the Grand Phoenix, Abby and Phyllis helped Chance take him down. Abby insisted that she repay him by taking him out to dinner. Chance felt a spark between him and Abby, but Phyllis also claimed to be interested in him. Curious, Chance went on a date with Phyllis, but nothing ever came of it. He started dating Abby instead. Abby liked listening to his stories of criminals he had captured. When there were several jewel-heists at the Grand Phoenix, Abby asked Chance to investigate. However, the culprit turned out to be Abby herself. She had wanted to blame the thefts on Phyllis' poor security system. Chance laughed at this and let it go. Abby and Chance got into some more mischief when they broke into Phyllis' hotel room. They wanted to destroy the evidence that Phyllis had about Adam and Chance murdering someone. Abby and Chance eventually got married but their happiness was short-lived. They soon found out that they were unable to have children due to Abby's miscarriage scarring and Chance's gunshot infection. Chance was then called away on an undercover mission but he told Abby to go ahead with their surrogacy plans in the meantime. Chance called sporadically and even sent Abby a few gifts, but she still missed him a lot.

Devon and Elena[]
In March 2019, Devon became suspicious of his sister Ana's behaviour and followed her to a hotel room. There, he discovered Ana's father, Jett Slade, and Ana's cousin, Elena Dawson. Not only was Elena Jett's niece, but she was also his nurse. When Jett moved in with Devon and Ana, Elena did too, so she could continue keeping an eye on Jett's health. While living together, Devon and Elena got closer. Elena was a kind person who was easy to get along with. However, they hit a snag when Devon paid Elena's student debts without her knowledge or permission. She felt like it was a violation of her independence, and she didn't want to be seen as a charity case. She eventually forgave Devon, but then Hilary's ghost appeared to cause problems. Hilary didn't want Devon to move on with Elena, and kept haunting him. It also didn't help that Devon kept repeatedly watching taped episodes of the Hilary Hour. With help from his family, Devon realized he had to move on, and put the video tapes away. Hilary stopped haunting him . . . until Amanda Sinclair came to town. Amanda looked exactly like Hilary, which unnerved Devon greatly. He had a dream where Hilary was alive, but then it turned out to be Amanda he was kissing instead. For a while, Devon seemed to be fixated on Amanda, but he moved past this unhealthy obsession. However, Elena's insecurities flared back up when Amanda was revealed to be Hilary's twin sister. Devon and Amanda began spending a lot of time together, which made Elena paranoid. She frequently vented to Nate, who tried to alleviate her fears. The stressful situation eventually led to Elena and Nate sleeping together. Elena felt too guilty to keep it a secret, and when she told Devon, he kicked her out of his penthouse.

Jack and Sally[]
When Sally came to town in fall 2020, a lot of people weren't willing to give her a chance. However, Jack took the time to get to know Sally and saw that she was a fun, ambitious person who wanted a fresh start. Sally's upbeat, bubbly spirit soon won Jack over, and despite Phyllis' warnings, he decided to pursue a romantic relationship with her. He gave her some driving lessons, since she wasn't used to navigating the cold weather, and they also went skating together. After their icy excursion, they went to get something warm to drink, and Kyle was horrified to see them kissing at Crimson Lights. Soon after, the truth came out about Sally's wrongdoings in L.A., as well as her recent collusion with Theo, causing Jack to end things with her. Eventually, though, Jack found he couldn't stay away from Sally and they started to hang out again. Sally was still in love with Jack, but Jack was wary of getting involved with Sally again. They eventually did reunite as a couple but Jack broke things off again over Sally and Tara's scheme to get Summer out of town.

Kyle and Summer[]
After Theo ended his casual relationship with Summer, she decided to try and go after Kyle again. Kyle had been married to Lola for about six months, and stopped Summer when she kissed him. Later, however, he abruptly left Lola to be with Summer. The very same night he broke up with Lola, he and Summer slept together. Although not yet divorced from Lola, Kyle is now in a relationship with Summer. They make out a lot while they are at Jabot. Sometimes, they will do some work, which impresses Jack. As far as business goes, Jack always believed they made a great team together. Indeed, Summer and Kyle are a formidable force. They set a trap for Theo at Jabot, who was caught stealing ideas for a marketing pitch. It was mostly Summer's idea, but Kyle had no problem going along with it. Kyle does not shy away from Summer's mischievous ideas, and accepts her for who she is. Despite misgivings from their parents, the two of them were ready to elope, but Summer had to face a difficult truth. She saw the way Kyle looked at Lola, how his body language changed around her, and how he was even texting Lola the night before he and Summer were supposed to get married. Summer worried that his heart was still with Lola, and backed out of the elopement. Kyle was surprised to wake up in the morning and find that Summer had disappeared. He returned to GC without her, but unbeknownst to him, Summer had actually returned to GC as well. Summer eavesdropped on Kyle and Lola at Crimson Lights. She even recruited a Society waiter to spy on them, and Summer was not pleased by their interaction. When Kyle found out about the stalking, he was furious. Fed up with her games, he turned the tables on Summer by breaking up with her. However, they changed their minds and got back together.

Nick and Phyllis[]
Early in 2020, Phyllis got trapped at Nick's house during a storm one night. While stuck there, they discussed their connection and determined that they were better off as friends. Despite both their insistence on keeping things platonic, they ended up sleeping together anyways. They couldn't ignore their attraction anymore and became an official couple, much to Summer's chagrin. Summer didn't want a repeat trainwreck, fearing her parents' relationship would end in disaster once more. Nick and Phyllis had the same concerns, but were willing to risk it. Although against their reconciliation at first, Summer eventually became more accepting. After all, it would be hypocritical to judge her parents, when Summer herself was taking a similar risk with Kyle. Nick and Phyllis were surprised but grateful for their daughter's change of heart, especially since everyone else seemed to be against their reunion. Avoiding the negativity, Nick began to help Phyllis with her new business venture, which was an all-girls escape club of pampering and relaxation. He also went to great lengths to stop the construction of Abby's hotel across the street, as the noise was driving customers away from the Grand Phoenix. Regardless of their past issues, Nick and Phyllis still care about each other very much.

Rey and Sharon[]
Rey Rosales and Sharon Newman met in September of 2018. At the time, Sharon was still with Nicholas Newman. When Nick cheated on her with Phyllis Summers, Sharon broke up with him. She was interested in pursuing a relationship with Rey, who admitted he had feelings for Sharon. However, things got complicated when Rey's estranged wife, Mia, arrived in Genoa City. Mia wanted to reconcile with her husband and warned Sharon to back off. Rey felt obligated to work on his marriage and be a better husband than his father, Adrian, had been. So, Rey decided to stay with Mia. This didn't last long, though, for Rey could not deny his feelings for Sharon. He became increasingly annoyed with Mia, who attacked Lola by mistake. On Valentine's Day, he went to Sharon's and told her he loved her. Alas, a scandal with JT prevented them from being together right away. Once that murder mess was sorted out, Rey divorced Mia.
