Damian Kane has been played by Germain Rivers since February 3, 2025. He was originally believed to be played by Nathan Owens, who debuted on January 8, 2025.
On February 3, 2025, Owens was revealed to be playing a character named Holden, who was posing as Damian on behest of the real Damian. Damian is the son of Nathan Hastings and Amy Lewis, and the half-brother of Nate Hastings.
Background[]
Damian grew up as the son of Jackson Kane. Jackson passed away when Damian was sixteen years old. Damian took Jackson's death hard and caused him to be estranged from his mother for several years.
Damian came to Los Angeles without means. At some point, he met and became close friends with Holden Novak. Impressed with the quick rise of Aristotle Dumas, who was newer to the business world, Damian reached out to Aristotle and wanted to work for him.
Though he never met Aristotle, Damian managed to impress him who to be left in charge of Aristotle's two companies called Monte Christo and Danglar. Damian was the legal owner of the companies even though Aristotle still maintained control from behind the scenes. Holden then came to work for Damian.
Storylines[]
In November of 2024, a terminally ill Amy Lewis sought out Damian's half-brother Nate Hastings, and told him about Damian, and asked him to find Damian and make sure he was okay. Nate hired a P.I. named Denise and they tracked Damian down in L.A.
Nate arranged a meeting with Damian in L.A. with the excuse that he wanted to hire him to work at his family's company Hamilton Winters Group. Damian was suspicious of Nate's motives and why Nate sought him out specifically.
After arriving in Genoa City, Nate confessed that Damian's mother had asked Nate to find him (not disclosing their familial connection). Damian refused to see his mother and left. He then met up with the real Damian Kane, who revealed that he had his employee and friend Holden Novak pose as him.
Damian refused to see his mother, and wondered what the angle he was. He told Holden in order to find out, he'll have to continue to pose as him. Holden met with Nate again trying to get more info out of him, but Nate was evasive, which confused Damian even more. Holden managed to find out that Nate's mother was a doctor like Jackson was so Damian wondered if that was the connection.
Nate called "Damian" and told him to meet him at his place and he'll tell him everything. When Holden arrived, he came face to face with Amy, who immediately knew Holden was not Damian, so Holden had no choice but to confess everything.
Holden told Damian that Amy was really sick and wanted to meet with him. Damian was reluctant, but Holden convinced him, so he used Holden's phone to call Nate and agreed to meet.
Damian went to Nate's penthouse where he reunited with Amy, but he rejected a hug. Amy explained her diagnosis to Damian, and then revealed that Jackson wasn't his biological father, telling Damian that his biological father was Nathan Hastings. Damian quickly caught on that Nathan had the same last name as Nate, and Amy confirmed Nate was his half-brother.
Damian was furious refusing to acknowledge Nate was his brother and he stormed out. He and Holden contemplated returning to Los Angeles, but he was persuaded by Nate to stay. Damian also seems to develop a crush on Nate's cousin Lily Winters.
Damian decided to renew his bond with Amy and instead sent Holden to Los Angeles to wrap up some business while he stayed in Genoa City. Damian also started to form a bond with Nate as they left town with Amy as she sought a second opinion and information about an experimental cancer treatment.
Upon his return, Lily confronted Damian and accused him and Aristotle of going after her family company Hamilton Winters Group. Lily claimed a source had told her that Damian had been briefed by Aristotle on Devon, Lily, and Nate prior to learning Nate was his half-brother.
Damian denied the accusations and Nate questioned the source, which he suspected was Victor Newman], but he was also suspicious of Damian since he has lied to them and deceived them before. Damian and Nate's argument alerted Amy, who was upstairs resting, and demanded to know what they were arguing about.
