George Summers, Jr. was the husband of Lydia Callahan, father of Phyllis and Avery Summers. As well as the grandfather of Daniel Romalotti and Summer Newman. George is also the great-grandfather of Daniel's daughter Lucy Romalotti and Summer's son Harrison Abbott. He was played by Duke Stroud in 1995 and Ken Howard in 2012.
In 1995, George and Lydia paid a visit to Genoa City to see Phyllis. In 2011, it was revealed that Phyllis had alienated her entire family after turning George in for ripping off investors. Avery had believed George to be innocent and defended him. In 2012, it was revealed that George was dying and before George died, Avery learned the horrible truth that he was guilty.
