Helen Copeland is a character portrayed by Karina Logue. She was believed to be the mother of Mariah Copeland.
History[]
Helen Copeland was a nurse and a member of the Path, led by Ian Ward. On Ian's orders, Helen stole one of Sharon Collins' daughters. Though Helen didn't want children, she raised Mariah like a daughter, but often left her with Ian, so Mariah grew to hate Helen, even telling people that Helen was dead. In 2014, Helen called Mariah and asked for her help, but Mariah angrily told her no. Nick Newman, overheard the conversation and called Helen.
Helen arrived in Genoa City on August when Nick questioned her about why she abandoned Mariah and Helen told him that she was all Ian's idea before leaving in anger.
Helen Warns Ian.
Helen met up with Ian, who told Helen not to contact Mariah. Helen told Ian about Nick's questions and reassured Ian that Nick has no idea who Mariah really is. Unbeknownst to Ian and Helen, Nick was nearby and recorded the conversation.
Nick investigates and discovers that Mariah is truly Sharon Newman's daughter, the twin sister of Cassie Newman, who was stolen at birth.
