J.T. Hellstrom and Victoria Newman are fictional characters and a former couple from the American CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. J.T. was portrayed by Thad Luckinbill, and Victoria is portrayed by Amelia Heinle.
V.T. is the name given to the relationship between J.T. Hellstrom and Victoria Newman.
Victoria and JT become engaged in 2007. Days later, a pregnant Victoria is in a coma after being hit by a falling piece of rock during the Clear Springs explosion. Her baby was delivered prematurely via C-section. It is announced that JT is the father of Victoria's baby. JT names the baby Reed Hellstrom after Nikki and because a reed is strong but bends in the wind. Victoria wakes up soon after. Reed is baptised and Nick and Phyllis are named his Godparents. Their marriage is very happy until the couple faces problems in 2009, when JT kisses Colleen Carlton and Victoria sleeps with Deacon Sharpe in retaliation. Victoria then believes she needs a break, so she goes to Dubai, reluctantly leaving Reed with JT. While she is away, JT grows close to Mackenzie Browning. When Victoria comes home, she grows close to Billy Abbott. Victoria and JT divorce, and to Victoria's horror, JT decides to sue for full custody of Reed. Soon after,Victoria's brother, Adam, is murdered. The Genoa City police find the murder weapon, a pen that Victoria bought in Dubai. They decide to arrest her when she's going to the custody hearing, and because she never showed up, the judge gave JT full custody of their son. Victoria remains in jail for a short while, as she covering for Nick. (She bought the pen as a gift for Nick). However, Nick told the police it was his pen, and Victoria was freed, and decides to keep fighting for Reed. Victor decides to take matters into his own hands and takes Reed while he's with JT so JT would be late. JT's boss, Tucker McCall, called the court room and Victoria lost custody. Victoria was then left dealing with JT taking Reed to DC. She contacted both Vance Abrams and Michael Baldwin who both said she could do nothing about JT taking Reed across state lines. At Crimson Lights, Victoria vowed never to forgive JT for this. Victoria told her son that she would stick around for his daddy's wedding, then told JT that her noble gesture for her son proved that she's a good mother. She wished JT would remember that. Victoria told Reed a tearful goodbye before being ripped away from her only child. Billy comforted her as the newlyweds and Reed drove off. In 2017, there son Reed returns to Genoa City as a 15 year old teenager. Reed runs to Genoa City, because his father JT Hellstrom is planning on moving him to Warsaw, Poland. Reed wants to live in Genoa City with his Mother, but Victoria reminds him that JT has custody. Reed complains that he never sees Victoria or his siblings except via video-chat and he wants to get to know his brother Johnny Abbottand sister Katie Newman. He begs Victoria to go to court so he can tell the Judge that he wants to remain in the United States. Victoria understands where her son is coming from, but his running away was reckless and thoughtless. Reed wonders if that is who he is now, and maybe she doesn't know him anymore. Reed runs off. Later, after Reed returns and apologizes to his mother, she agrees to talk to JT about allowing their son to stay in town. In late 2018 JT returns to Genoa City to investigate Victor. However he and Victoria ended up reconnecting after seeing each other again and to visit Reed. JT tells Victoria that he and Mackenzie are over. Victoria and JT rekindled their relationship, to where Victoria hires him on the security team. Victoria deals with Ashley working for Newman and having a rivalry with her. Jack and Victoria teams up to get Ashley fired from Newman by planting evidence that shows that she is here to Spy on Newman. Victoria and JT's relationship starts to take a nasty turn to where JT starts to control her and verbally abuses her. Victoria is later demoted from her COO position when Victor learns that Victoria and Jack had planted fake evidence that Ashley was sent her to spy on him. One day when Victoria is about to be demoted from her position, JT and Victoria gets into a nasty fight, to the point where JT grabs her by her neck and pushes her to a wall, and punches a wall that is close to her head. Victoria escapes and locks the bathroom door. Victoria breaks down when she see's a red mark on her throat. JT apologizes, and proposes to her. Victoria accepts and both make love. Victoria and JT go to counseling to work on their relationship. However when JT and Victoria goes to Hawaii with the kids, for a vacation, JT locks her phone in a drawer. Victoria finds JT's phone and discovered that he was hired by Christine and Paul to find dirt on her father. Victoria confronts him, who would reveal that he did it in exchange her and Nikki would not go to jail. Victoria also learns that JT was the one who leaked the information about Ashley to Victor. Victoria finally breaks up with JT and leaves with her kids. One night Victoria invited Nikki, Sharon, Phyllis, and Mariah over her house for girls night. Victoria finally comes clean and reveals to the woman about JT being hired by Christine and Paul to get dirt on Victor to arrest him, and to where she tearfully reveals that JT had been abusing her. The women show her support, and Nikki vows to protect her even more. While going to her bedroom, JT sneaks in her room to try to win her back. Victoria tells JT that it is over between them, and is shocked when JT makes a comment about Victor not dying at the hospital. Victoria then realized that JT was the one who pushed her father down the steps, and tried to kill him at the hospital by turning off his life support. Victoria tries to call the cops but JT grabs her and Victoria tries to fight back to where JT slaps her. Sharon Nikki, and Phyllis hears Victoria yelling and goes upstairs to Victoria room. They see JT yelling at Victoria and shaking her, and Nikki grabs a fire poker and hits JT over the head. The women bury JT when Phyllis could not find a pulse, not wanting to go to jail.
