Over breakfast at the Genoa City Athletic Club, while Gloria was rambling about plans for a wedding reception, William Bardwell thought back to Evan's magic trick and wondered if Gloria pulled it when submitting her DNA! After William got called away to work, Kevin shoewd up with a gift for Gloria - a clock - and said, "Time's a tickin' don't get caught!"

Seeing as Gloria didn't have access to William's money, she asked Kevin for a loan to payoff Evan. As Kevin was warning Gloria that Evan would continue to blackmail her for more money, Evan walked in! Despite initially turning her down, Kevin handed over some money to Gloria then left. When Evan approached Gloria's table, he threatened to tell William that she switched her DNA sample if she didn't give him a substantial amount of money.

Before their conversation could go any further, William came back. After Evan left, while kissing Gloria, her hair got caught and she screamed, "Ouch!" William distracted her and asked if they could talk about their reception, leaving Gloria unaware that he ripped out a strand of her hair.
