Yeah I know my edit was biased but they also slander Victor Newman's personality. And personally I think Sharon's the worst of them all!!!! (and so does a lot of people). I even added Phyllis's section who is a great character but I also listed negative aspects about Phyllis. Like I said, this is a soap opera, nobody is really on a clean slate :)
Personal opinion is fine but it has no place on what is supposed to be an unbiased and factual Wiki. Your personal opinion about Sharon or whoever is better suited for the blog on your own page and not a character article. I'll correct both pages, Victor and Sharon, and I'd appreciate if you didn't undo the edit again. Thanks.
I'm just going to jump in here and say I do think it's better if we shy away from adding personal opinions to articles, so edits won't upset our fellow contributors. Let's just keep the pages to the storylines on the show. If this personality section isn't going to be on all the pages, making it consistent across the Wiki, then it doesn't need to be on any of the pages. I appreciate you contacting one another about this, thus keeping it from turning into an editing war. Thank you both for your good communication.
Let me clarify that personal opinion is fine in the forum section, the blog section, the chat room and on the comments at the end of article pages. Just don't add them to the articles themselves. I'm working on putting together some basic rules for editing on the Wiki and interacting with fellow editors and all this info will be included in that once I post it.
